Charles W. Gambrell III, CPA

Charles serves as Director of Medicaid Audits for the South Carolina Office of the State Auditor.  Since beginning his career with OSA in 2005, he has gained extensive experience in conducting attestation engagements of Medicaid financial and statistical reports filed by institutional health care providers.  In addition to his Medicaid audit experience, he has worked on numerous statewide Single Audit engagements.

Charles is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Accounting).  He also received a Master of Business Administration – Accounting degree from Winthrop University in 2015. Charles is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), and the National State Auditors Association (NSAA).
